ClickPay Login: Sign In, Register and Fix Common Problems

Short answer

Log in at www.clickpay.com/login with your username or email and password. New residents register at www.clickpay.com/GettingStarted and link their unit with the street number, ZIP code and often the account number from their statement. If your manager emailed you an invitation, your account already exists — use the link or reset your password instead of registering again. Locked out? Use Forgot Password. Still stuck, call ClickPay on 1-800-533-7901.

The ClickPay home page at www.clickpay.com also has a login form. Your management company may have given you a branded login page instead, shaped like this:

https://www.clickpay.com/custom/yourmanagementcompany/login.html

That is still ClickPay — the logo is your manager’s, but the domain is clickpay.com. The same rule protects you from fakes: every real ClickPay page lives on that one domain. Our guide to whether ClickPay is legit shows the two-click certificate check if you want to be certain.

Most people searching "ClickPay" want the login

Bookmark www.clickpay.com/login — or your branded page — and use the bookmark each month. It is faster than searching, and it means you never click an ad that looks like ClickPay.

Registering for the first time

First, check whether you already have an account. Many managers pre-register residents and send an invitation email. If you got one, use its link — or the Forgot Password link — rather than signing up again. A second registration with the same email often fails.

If you have no invitation, per ClickPay’s resident walkthrough:

  1. Go to www.clickpay.com/GettingStarted and choose Register.
  2. Enter a username, password, your name, email and phone number.
  3. Accept the electronic disclosure and terms, then confirm on the review page.
  4. Link your unit with your street number and ZIP code.
  5. If your property asks, enter the account number exactly as printed on your statement, or the last name on the lease.

The password must be at least 10 characters with an uppercase letter, a lowercase letter, a number and a special character.

Where the account number comes from

Your property assigns it, not ClickPay — it is on your statement, payment coupon or welcome letter. If you can't find it, ask your property manager. Moved in within the last month? Your unit may not have been uploaded to ClickPay yet, so give it a few days.

Can’t log in? Fixes in order

“Incorrect username or password.” Try your email address in place of your username — both work. Then use Forgot password? on the login page, which asks you to complete a captcha and emails you a reset link.

“You will be locked out after X attempts.” Stop guessing. Go straight to Forgot Password — another wrong attempt locks the account.

“Your account has been locked.” Wait and try later, or reset your password, which is quicker. If the reset email doesn’t arrive, call support.

“Accessible only through your Resident/Tenant Portal via Single Sign On.” Your property has linked ClickPay to its own resident portal. Log in to that portal and open payments from there. ClickPay’s own login page will never work for this account.

Asked for a verification code. ClickPay may ask for a one-time code to confirm it is you. Enter it on the page. Never read that code out to someone who phoned you.

Activation or reset email never arrived. Check spam and promotions folders, search your mail for “ClickPay”, and make sure you’re checking the address your manager has on file — it may be an old one. Request a fresh reset rather than using an old link, which expires.

The page loads but your unit is missing. Choose Add Unit under My Account and link it again. If it can’t be found, your property hasn’t uploaded it — that is for your manager to fix.

Rent, HOA dues and more than one unit

The same login handles rent, HOA dues, common charges and fees — whatever your property bills through ClickPay. If you own or rent more than one home, add each one under My Account › Add Unit, and each keeps its own balance and AutoPay.

When you move, cancel the old unit’s AutoPay first, then remove the unit. Payment history stays available afterwards. If your new building also uses ClickPay, add the new unit to the same login.

What you can do once you’re in

  • Pay Now by e-check from a checking or savings account, or by Visa, Mastercard, Discover, American Express or debit card — whichever methods your property allows.
  • Check the Fee Chart on the Pay Now page before you choose a method. Card fees are often much higher than e-check, and with Visa the fee can be a flat amount; see ClickPay’s card fees.
  • Set up AutoPay for the full balance or a fixed amount, starting in a month you choose — our ClickPay AutoPay guide covers the options and deadlines.
  • See your Payment History and download confirmations.

Timing: ClickPay’s current terms say e-check payments received after 7:59 pm Central (8:59 pm Eastern) are processed the next business day, and scheduled payments should be set at least one business day before the due date. Paying on the due date at night can mean paying late.

When to call support

ClickPay can fix login, registration, lockout, verification and payment-method problems:

Balance questions — a missing payment on your ledger, a late fee, a wrong amount due — go to your property manager, because the balance comes from their system. Our ClickPay customer service guide sets out exactly who handles what.

What to do next

  1. Bookmark www.clickpay.com/login or your branded page.
  2. Use your email if you’ve forgotten your username.
  3. Reset rather than retry once you see a lockout warning.
  4. Ask your property manager for a missing account number or unit.
  5. Call 1-800-533-7901 for anything you can’t fix from the login page.

New to the platform? Start with what ClickPay is. If your HOA uses First Citizens’ portal instead, see our Property Pay login guide. We are independent of ClickPay and RealPage, and we will never ask for your login — see our disclaimer.

Frequently asked questions

What is the ClickPay login website?
The resident login is www.clickpay.com/login. Many management companies also have a branded page such as www.clickpay.com/custom/<company>/login.html, and the mobile version is www.clickpay.com/m. All of them sit on the clickpay.com domain — anything else is not ClickPay.
Can I log in to ClickPay with my email instead of my username?
Yes. ClickPay's resident walkthrough says you can log in with either your username or your email address. If you have forgotten your username, try your email.
Why does ClickPay say my account is only accessible through my resident portal?
Some properties connect ClickPay to their own resident portal through single sign-on. For those accounts, ClickPay's login page will not let you in directly — you open ClickPay from inside your building's resident portal instead.
I don't have an account number. Can I still register?
Sometimes. Many properties only need your street number and ZIP code, but some require the account number from your statement or the last name on the lease. If your property requires one and you don't have it, ask your property manager. If you moved in within the last 30 days, your details may not be in ClickPay yet.
Is there a ClickPay app?
There is no ClickPay resident app in the App Store or Google Play. Use the mobile site at www.clickpay.com/m in your phone's browser. Apps called ClickPay in the stores belong to unrelated companies.
Is ClickPay available in Spanish?
ClickPay says its support team is bilingual in English and Spanish, and it publishes Spanish resident guides. We could not find a language switch on the login page itself, so for help in Spanish, call or chat with support.
