AutoPay & Scheduling
Setting up, changing, pausing and cancelling recurring ClickPay payments, plus what happens when your rent amount changes mid-schedule.
AutoPay is the cheapest and least stressful way to pay through ClickPay at most properties — recurring e-check payments are often free when one-time payments are not. It is also where the most expensive mistakes happen: a schedule that keeps paying an old amount after rent goes up, a Full Amount setting that pays a charge you meant to dispute, or a cancellation made the night before that arrives too late.
Three settings decide almost everything
The amount option (full balance, recurring charges only, or a fixed figure), the run date relative to your due date, and whether the reminder email is on. Get those three right and AutoPay mostly looks after itself.
Deadlines run on business days
Changes and cancellations have to reach ClickPay at least a business day before a payment processes, and AutoPay runs early in the morning. The guides here spell out the timing so a weekend or holiday does not catch you out.
