Fees & Charges
What ClickPay actually costs — convenience fees, card versus e-check pricing, who sets the fee, and the legitimate ways to pay less.
The most-searched question about ClickPay is what it costs, and the honest answer is the one nobody wants: it depends on your building. There is no company-wide rate card. The company publishes exactly one fee across all properties — $3.95 for cash payments at MoneyGram — and every other figure is configured by your property manager. That is why you cannot find a number online, and why any article that hands you one is quoting a single building on a single date.
Three things that decide what you pay
Your building sets the schedule. ClickPay’s terms say fees are processed “in accordance with your lease and the Payee’s resident portal policies.” Support cannot change them; only your property can.
Visa is priced differently from every other card. Visa’s network rules require a fixed flat fee rather than a percentage, and ClickPay derives that flat amount from your building’s average rent — not from the payment you are making. On a small charge that produces fees larger than the payment itself. Mastercard, Discover and Amex are percentage-based.
E-check is no longer reliably free. It usually is, but several associations have added charges of around $3 to one-time e-check payments while keeping recurring ones free, and ClickPay confirmed live ACH fees in complaint responses during 2026.
Where your actual number lives
Log into your property’s portal, open Pay Now, and read the Fee Chart. That is the only figure that binds you. The confirmation screen before you submit is your last chance to back out — fees are non-refundable once the payment goes through.
What the guides here cover
The credit card guide goes through the full fee structure, the Visa mechanic, the real published examples, and every legitimate route to paying less. The Bilt guide answers whether you can earn rewards points on a ClickPay rent payment without paying the card fee — and what changed when Bilt rebuilt its programme in early 2026.

Does Bilt Work With ClickPay? What Really Happens
There is no Bilt to ClickPay integration, but a bank-rails workaround exists. Bilt changed its whole programme in February 2026, so most guides are wrong.
Does ClickPay Charge a Fee for Credit Cards?
Yes. And with a Visa card the fee is a flat amount based on your building average rent, not your payment. That trap has produced $155 fees on $15 bills.
